"My second time here. What an amazing stay. Clean and spotless rooms. The view from room is very good and gives a relaxing vibe. Seamless checkin and staff are very friendly. The breakfast needs special mention here. Starting from local cuisines to western food, we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. Don’t miss this place if you are in Udon Thani"
"The staycation is awesome for the first time here. It’s very near to night market or walking street Udon. Also near Central Udon and Nong Prajak where’s the Yellow duck there! Hopefully. Who needs nice hotel. It’s here for your privacy time and priorities.

"The room was new, bright, and very clean. Small bottles of soap and shampoo were provided, along with a hairdryer. However, the room lacked soundproofing; I could hear the elevator and people in the hallway. There was plenty of parking available right in front of the hotel. While the location is a bit out of the city center, it's close to the airport and getting into town isn't difficult. To reach the hotel, you'll need to make a U-turn just past the Shell gas station."
"First the good. The staff was friendly the rooms were large and the beds were comfortable.
Now the bad. I wouldn't call this a 4 star hotel, more like a 2.5 star hotel. Its a very old hotel. They didn't have outlets to plug your phone in on each side of the bed, only on one side. So my wife could plug hers in, but mine I had to plug in across the room. So if I woke up and wanted to know what time it was, I had to get out of bed and walk across the room to find out. There was a stale odor as if someone had smoked in the room before and the cleaning didn't remove it, even though we asked for a non smoking room. They only have one size of pillow, those big huge ones. I have a bad neck so I need to sleep on flat pillows. Twice we requested flat pillows, something even 2 star hotels I have stayed in have. One time they brought me two pillows in one that were rock hard and no good. The second time we asked they brought the same pillows we already had. So my sleep suffered for this. The hot water was scolding hot if you turned it on more than one cm of a turn. I almost burn myself getting in the first time. We were supposed to receive a free breakfast, but when we asked, it was only breakfast for one person and the other had to pay. So we opted to give our money to a local breakfast place outside the hotel instead. That was very disappointing as my wife is pregnant and likes to eat right when we wake up. Instead we had to shower and drive around for a while before we could find something. They should state that the free breakfast isnt for a couple but for a single person. We probably would have booked another hotel if we knew it was like this as every other hotel I have stayed has given breakfast for a couple, and they were not even four star. My wife and I got married while we were there. When we came back to the hotel, we saw the GM standing at the front desk doing some paperwork. We know he was the GM as he had been waiting at the door waiting to host some policeman/military man in the foyer. We took some photos in the hotel, and when we walked by the front desk where he was now standing, he glanced up and didn't even give us any congratulations or anything, just went back to what he was writing. My friend back in Canada is GM of two hotels and I know if that was him, he would have made a big deal out of it, or at the very least given a heart felt congratulations. But this GM, did nothing. Bottom line, I would not stay at this old hotel again nor would I recommend it to anyone else."
"The hotel room is excellent and extremely clean. The hotel is in a good location only 10 minutes walk to central shopping mall and bars, restaurants etc. the slight issues were the longest ever check in, taking around 20 - 25 minutes where there was no one else waiting and being charged a fee for an extra pillow !"
"I had a great stay at Civilize Hotel during my business trip. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional service was top-notch! The room was clean and well-equipped with everything I needed. The location is convenient, close to restaurants and city spots, which made getting around easy. The hotel’s amenities were excellent and made the stay even more comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place for business travelers looking for a cozy yet efficient stay."
"This hotel is located near the bus and train station. You also got a shopping mall nearby, and 7 eleven and McDonald's is close. International breakfast. The staff is very polite and helpful."
"I’ve always stayed at Centara Udon whenever I visited Udon Thani, but this time, I decided to try something different and booked Clay Udon.
The street outside was quiet at night, unlike the livelier surroundings of Centara. Which, on some nights, I could still hear music from nearby pubs until around 3 a.m.
The room door at Clay Udon might need better soundproofing — on my last night, I could even hear my neighbour snoring!
Thankfully, I always pack earplugs, so overall, the stay was still comfortable. The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made a big difference. I wouldn’t mind staying here again, especially since it’s slightly more affordable than Centara."
"Nice choice to stay for travelling this area.
Reasonalble price for the quality and standard hotel with modern style.
Breakfast is not bad, good taste local food.
The best part is very comfy room."
JJesustongzOffers a comfortable stay in the heart of Udon Thani. The location is ideal, just a short walk from UD Town. Rooms are well-maintained, and the staff provides attentive service. The quiet atmosphere and nice pool make it a great spot to unwind.
WWee KiatI had a truly wonderful experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly warm, welcoming, and professional, making check-in a breeze. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and offered an amazing view. Housekeeping did an exceptional job each day, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the room, from complimentary water to quality toiletries. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the in-room amenities exceeded my expectations. The hotel’s location was perfect—close to major attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. I loved the peaceful atmosphere and the relaxing ambiance throughout the property. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide variety of fresh options, and the dining area was always clean and well-organized.
MMommy_knightBooked this for my husband's parents and it was excellent. Its central location, surrounded by eateries, makes it incredibly convenient to explore on foot. The staff are consistently wonderful on every visit. My parents always have high praise for this place. The room was true to the photos and impeccably clean. Thank you!
TTravelingMulberryI still like this hotel, I wish they'd invest a little money to buy new towels and pillows though, they are just old and smelly. Other than that, a great team and a great location at a reasonable price
PPimodismimigirlI stayed at this hotel for a short trip and found the location to be very convenient. It’s within walking distance to the bus terminal and Central shopping mall, which made getting around super easy. The hotel also has good parking space, which is a plus for those traveling by car.
The room was clean and tidy, but there were a few downsides. There’s no elevator, so if you have heavy luggage, it might be a bit of a hassle. The amenities provided were very minimal — just two bottles of water and two small bars of soap. There was no tissue paper in the bathroom, which was quite inconvenient.
One thing to note is that when you check in, you need to leave a 100 baht cash deposit for the key. You’ll get it back when you check out, but it’s something to keep in mind.
The staff didn’t seem to speak much English and weren’t particularly friendly, which made communication a little difficult.
Overall, the location and cleanliness were good, but the lack of basic amenities and service left something to be desired.
CChon.POverall, the hotel is good, and the air conditioning is cool. I am a B2 customer and have stayed at the Udon branch before. However, the cabinets and furniture are quite old, which causes a musty wood smell and a metallic odor.
SskrsmdThe area is nice, very quiet. Near to the market and Mini Big C, but not so near to the main attraction (Nong Prajak Park, Udon Thani Museum) if you want to walk - just take a grab.
The room is spacious, the bathroom is nice, there's refrigerator as well. Recommended!
AAFrankThis is a really nice hotel. The price is amazing. The shower was so powerful. I loved it. The room was clean, the mattress was soft. I would definitely stay here again. One thing to note, the lobby was a little messy. But you don’t spend any time in the lobby. I think this was a great deal.
